Tell Gov. Christie not to take a dime away from preschool Subject: Your Letter: For 9 years, we have waited for more funding to help more preschoolers be prepared for kindergarten and increase their chances of realizing academic success. This year, you took a first step in achieving that goal by including an additional $25 million in the state budget for preschool expansion. And now—just 13 weeks later-- you want to take a portion of that money away from our young kids. Governor Christie, after 9 years of waiting, don’t take a dime away from preschool expansion! We need to look no further than our own state to see the benefits quality preschool can have on those children lucky enough to attend. Regardless of how you want to spend those funds, we already know that expanding preschool is money well spent—and that’s where we want it to be spent!
