Dear Supporter,

Thanks to all of you, our Tweet for Preschool generated 256 messages that were seen by more than 25,000 Twitter users. Each of those messages also went directly to the two NJ gubernatorial candidates participating in the debate Tuesday night, Governor Christie and Senator Buono, as well as the debate moderator.

We received direct replies from Candidate Barbara Buono and her running mate, Milly Silva, expressing support for preschool expansion. Some big name Tweeters participated, including Eric LeGrand, the heroic Rutgers football player who was seriously injured a few years ago and who has more than 100,000 folks following his Tweets.

This was a great way to create a buzz around preschool, as we continue to push for expansion of this critical early education to children across New Jersey. We need to keep raising our collective voices to elevate the public discussion about quality preschool and advance our goal of ensuring that all children arrive at kindergarten with the foundation they need to succeed in school.

Thank you again for speaking up for kids. Please be on the lookout for future opportunities to advocate for preschool expansion.

Sincerely,

Cecilia Zalkind
Executive Director
