Dear Supporter,

It has come to our attention that the data for school breakfast student participation in two districts – Seaside Heights and Hillside – was erroneously reported in our recently-released 4th Annual NJ School Breakfast Report. ACNJ sincerely regrets the errors and apologizes to those districts.

The corrected statistics show that Seaside Heights actually fed 45 percent of low-income students, not the 3 percent originally reported. This takes the district off ACNJ’s “School Breakfast Underachievers List.”

Hillside also fed a higher percentage of eligible students – 23 percent, not 8 percent. However, since the district fed fewer than 30 percent of low-income students in May 2014, it remains on the underachievers list.
