Dear Supporter,

Thanks to our collective advocacy, kids scored an important win this week when Congress passed and the President signed a measure aimed at improving the quality of child care in New Jersey and across the nation. This marks a critical step toward building a strong early learning system!

Please take a minute and join us in thanking The President and Congress!

With the right funding, the “reauthorization” of the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) will:

• Improve the health and safety of children in child care settings
• Make it easier for parents to get and keep the child care assistance they need
• Enable children to have more stable child care
• Strengthen the quality of child care

We still have to ensure that Congress fully funds the new quality standards, as it considers spending priorities early next year. But, for now, let’s thank our elected officials for putting kids first.
