NEWARK, NJ — On Wednesday, September 9, Advocates for Children of New Jersey will host a media-only conference call to review its report Showing Up Matters: The State of Chronic Absenteeism in New Jersey. The report is embargoed until September 10 but reporters who agree to the embargo can review an advance copy and ask questions in advance of the release. The conference call will include:
1. An overview of the state of chronic absenteeism in New Jersey
2. Specific solutions to address chronic absenteeism
3. An opportunity to discuss school district-specific findings
