CONTACT: Lana Lee, (609) 651-5855, llee@acnj.orgSeptember 11, 2017 As part of Advocates for Children of New Jersey’s (ACNJ) #NJVotes4Kids campaign, gubernatorial candidates Kim Guadagno (Republican), Phil Murphy (Democrat) and Seth Kaper-Dale (Green Party) were invited to respond to a questionnaire on issues affecting children and families. Responses to ACNJ’s questionnaire are now publicly available.
To help raise the visibility of children’s issues in the upcoming state elections, ACNJ is hosting the 2017 Children's Summit on September 12th. The event, which begins at 9:30 a.m. will take place at Adelphia Restaurant and Event Center, 1750 Clements Bridge Rd, Deptford Township, NJ 08096. Gubernatorial candidates were invited to share their agenda for children at the event. Assemblywoman Pamela Lampitt, on behalf of Phil Murphy (Democrat) and Seth Kaper-Dale (Green Party) are confirmed to speak. Keynote speaker Bruce Lesley, President of First Focus, a national non-partisan organization, which addresses children’s issues at the federal level, will speak about the landscape in Washington, D.C. and the potential impact on New Jersey.
A panel discussion on the obstacles and challenges of putting kids' issues at the forefront of candidates' agenda will follow. Panelist include: • John Froonjian, William J.
