Be part of the hunger solution for Atlantic County kids!

Thousand of Atlantic County children face hunger each summer. That's why expanding the federal Summer Meals Food Service Program is so important.

Please help combat childhood hunger by joining Advocates for Children of New Jersey, the New Jersey Department of Agriculture, the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Southern Branch, and the New Jersey Food for Thought Campaign at the Atlantic County Summer Meals Roundtable on Nov. 28 at Stockton University.

This free dynamic event will bring together key stakeholders in communities across Atlantic County to share successful strategies for serving summer meals to more hungry children, while claiming additional federal reimbursements to combat childhood hunger.

The roundtable will provide an opportunity for Atlantic County summer meals sponsors, community organizations and school and city leaders to work together to identify strategies and address key issues, including engaging the community, recruiting new sites, conducting effective community outreach and meeting other operational challenges.

Register now for this free event.

Representatives from the New Jersey Department of Agriculture will be on hand to offer solutions for improving management of the Summer Food Service Program. This interactive session will also provide a chance to learn about strategies other communities use to engage the community, enlist new sites and get the word out about summer meals in your community.

It's not too early to start planning your summer meals program for 2018.

Please register today.

The Food for Thought School Breakfast Campaign is a partnership of state agencies, child advocates, anti-hunger coalitions, statewide education organizations and national organizations.
