Dear Supporter,

Please join us for Fueling Up With School Breakfast in Atlantic City on Oct. 2 at 9 a.m.where we will shine a spotlight on school breakfast and discuss a new state law that requires high-poverty schools to serve breakfast during the school day. Known as breakfast after the bell, this approach significantly boosts student participation in this critical child nutrition program.

Register now.

Atlantic City serves as a model when it comes to ensuring that all children begin their day with a healthy meal. The district serves breakfast after the bell in all its school, reaching an average of 85 percent of its low-income students. Together, we will highlight the importance of school breakfast and discuss the requirements of the new law, which has the potential to reach as many as 300,000 children who are currently missing out on school breakfast. Hear from local school officials and others about how breakfast after the bell works for students, teachers, parents and the entire school community.

This event is sponsored by the New Jersey Anti-Hunger Coalition, Advocates for Children of New Jersey and the New Jersey Food for Thought Campaign.

Space is limited. Register today.
