Advocates for Children of New Jersey

December 17, 2018

Join the “40 For 40” ACNJ Sustaining Member Campaign

In honor of our 40th anniversary, we would like 40 of our supporters to become sustaining members. Your ongoing commitment will help ACNJ work to ensure New Jersey’s youngest residents have the chance to grow up safe, healthy and educated.

Help us reach our goal  before the end of 2018!

Dear Supporter:

Every child deserves a second chance.
Juvenile justice has been one of ACNJ’s key issues since its founding in 1978, with our initial advocacy efforts resulting in revisions to the Juvenile Justice Code, allowing children to have more paths towards productive futures. Using data and research, ACNJ has continued to make a difference for New Jersey's youth.

Zoom in for a quick view of our successes in juvenile justice and chronic absenteeism.

Since then, the state has made great progress in significantly reducing the juvenile detention population without risk to public safety, but we can still do better in helping youth offenders receive the help they need to stay out of trouble, remain home and in school.

Those who require secure care need help to re-enter society and become productive adults. Recognizing the need to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline, ACNJ is working with other advocates to help children and youth avoid the juvenile justice system altogether.

With your support, we can do more. Today, you have the chance to make an even bigger difference. Please consider becoming an ACNJ sustaining member.

Sincerely,

Cecilia Zalkind
President and CEO
