September 20, 2011 Join us in expanding school breakfast across New Jersey.On Sept. 28, ACNJ will release a report that shows how school districts across the state can give children a nutritional start to the school day with a healthy school breakfast. New Jersey lags the nation in providing breakfast to disadvantaged students. Register today for this free event. NJ Department of Children and Families Commissioner Allison Blake will join ACNJ in calling on school districts to take creative steps to give children school breakfast. ACNJ will also release data showing participation rates in districts around the state and targeting schools with high concentrations of children in low-income families. Looking Back and Looking Ahead: Developing Strong Kindergartens within the PreK-3rd ContinuumThis conference will focus on building quality kindergarten classrooms that build on a child’s preschool experience and link learning to the early elementary grades. National experts will present their work on kindergarten and other early learning issues. The event is schedule for October 28 at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, Monmouth County. |
