Please join us for the 2011 release of ACNJ’s Newark Kids Count, an annual profile of the well-being of children in New Jersey’s largest city. This year, the report features a special section on 3rd grade reading proficiency, with reading scores from every elementary school in Newark.  Children who are not proficient readers by 3rd grade are more likely to drop out of school.

In addition to a presentation of this year’s Newark Kids Count, featured speakers include Newark Mayor Cory Booker and Newark Superintendent of Schools Cami Anderson.
