Need to Feed:  The Cumberland County Food Summit

Join us for an action-packed day focused on feeding children in Cumberland County communities. We are bringing together local, state and national leaders, as well as food vendors, advocates and people who work every day to feed children throughout New Jersey.

This event, set for Jan. 20 at the Cumberland Community College, is aimed at identifying solutions to ensure that all Cumberland County children have access to healthy, nutritious meals all year long.

Register today for this free summit. Lunch provided.

Nearly 11,000 Cumberland County children live in families earning below the federal poverty level and thousands more live in low-income families who also struggle to make ends meet. Several federal programs exist to feed these at-risk children – often at little or no cost to schools and communities.

Attend the summit to learn how you can work with others in your community to create strong nutritional safety nets so kids get the nourishment they need to learn, grow and be healthy.
This event is sponsored by the Bridgeton Area Police Athletic League, the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, the Gateway Community Action Partnership and the New Jersey Department of Agriculture.
