The New Jersey Senate and Assembly are voting today on the State budget….and that budget includes $25 million for preschool expansion! That’s a good thing for young children in many communities throughout the state who don’t have access to high-quality preschool.
But there’s a catch….
In order for that to happen, Governor Christie has to leave the money in the budget.
Let's show him New Jerseyans support funding for preschool expansion!!
We are asking EVERYONE to make one simple telephone call TODAY, Monday, June 27th to show support—and here is how to do it!
1. Call the Governor’s Office at 609-292-6000. A secretary will answer the phone.
2. Please say: “Hello my name is XXXXXX, and I am from (the Town in which you live), and I want to let the Governor know that I support funding in the 2017 budget for preschool expansion.”
3. And say, “Thank you!”
And that is it!
We need to make sure that our message is loud and clear. Funding to expand preschool is the right thing to do to ensure that students have the skills to be successful in kindergarten and beyond! Please call the Governor TODAY!
Please call or email Cynthia Rice at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 973-643-3876 if you have any questions.
