Salsa Highlight: Event Waiting List Upgrade Trigger
Submitted Fri Jun 24 2011 11:37:00 GMT-0400 (EDT)Greetings!
It's the "Salsa Highlight," your quick hit on what's new in Salsa to help get the most out of your online program. As always, you can find plenty more news, updates, and conversation throughout the week on SalsaCommons.org.
Earlier this month, we flagged a new event option, paid event invoicing.
Well, we keep adding new bells and whistles to Salsa Events. The latest is ...
Waiting List Upgrade Triggers
You can now have your Salsa event launch an auto-response email trigger when someone gets upgraded from the waiting list.
Of course, you'll only need this for an event that uses a waiting list (configure that under the event's Description tab). But for such an event, registrants who sign up when the event is at capacity and get added to the waiting list can be automatically sent an email if they're "promoted" to the regular registration roster. (Salsa does that automatically if the event's registration cap is raised, or if existing attendees' registrations are canceled.)
Just add this auto-response like any other trigger under the event's Follow-Up and Reminders tab. If you're counting, it's the fourth different type of trigger available for Salsa Events!
